Week 7 - It's Coming Together

Little things for the wedding are starting to come together. I lucked out a few weeks ago when a coworker posted that she had a bunch of ribbon for sale, normally I wouldn't pay any attention to something like that but the colors were right and I figured it could be used for the wedding. The plan at the moment is that this ribbon will become bows and be used for various other things as well.

Over the weekend I went into a bead store and went a little overboard buying pretty, shiny things. These beads will become beautiful jewelry thanks to my wonderfully talented friend Heather.

Speaking of pretty, shiny things. I found a pair of earrings - white and blue diamonds. I had never heard of blue diamonds before so I decided I had to have them.

Week 6: Love Em or Leave Em

I am back in the thick of training once again. Not sure if I'm going to do a tri again this year but I've been doing some cycling and jogging. Saturday was a 5K at Green Lake called Love Em or Leave Em. The first 5K of the season and I didn't do as bad as I thought I would. The quality of the photos aren't the greatest but as I was leaving for the race I remembered that I hadn't taken any photos for the week yet and I don't want to give up this early in the year.

Red Velvet Cake just what everybody needs before running a 5K, or maybe you were supposed to eat it afterwards.

Aww how sweet.

My shirt and number. I wish I had gotten 1973 for a number instead of 1978.

Week 5: Food Porn

I had fun taking pictures of my food this week. It was a tough week for eating healthy as I was travelling but I managed to survive. For a change of pace this week all photos were taken with the Retro Camera app.

Seaweed salad

Double eel & avocado roll

Cornbread from Smash according to Dave it was the best $3 he ever spent.

We didn't eat out all week although it felt like I did. On Sunday we made pulled chicken and a buffalo chicken dip for a Superbowl party. Both were quite tasty.
